Employee Spotlight: Rob Verhoeve

The Employee Spotlight series is a monthly blog where we get up-close and personal with some of the amazing team members we have here at Platinum Standard Grading.

For this month's Employee Spotlight, we spoke to General Manager, Rob Verhoeve.

What was the first pack of cards you purchased and how long have you been collecting?

I've been collecting for 40+ years and my first pack was a 1977 VFL Scanlens pack that I got for 20 cents.

What product do you look forward to each year?

Prestige AFL.

When did you realise you wanted to make the hobby into your career?

1994. My wife and I used to attend the Cannon Hill Markets and sell packs of cards. I've always loved the hobby.

What does a day at work look like for you?

That's the best part of my job, it is just so different every day. Working with all members of the PSG team is just a great thing, from researching to the final product, I like to be able to assist where needed. Growing the brand is also a big part of what I do, getting the PSG name out there.

What's an interest you have outside of the card industry?

My family are the most important thing in the world. I enjoy sitting under a tree and reading a book, just letting time pass.

What do you love most about the hobby and hobby events?

Meeting people. This hobby is full of the most amazing individuals.
